This medicine reduces swelling and inflammation in your lungs, helping you breathe easier.
Your doctor will prescribe the correct dose for asthma or croup, usually 0.25–2 mg per day. The dose may vary depending on age and severity of the condition.
This medicine is inhaled using a nebulizer with a mouthpiece or a face mask. Only use a jet-type nebulizer, not an ultrasonic nebulizer.
Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor. For asthma, the usual maximum starting dose is 2 mg per day. For croup, the dose can be 2 mg and may be repeated as instructed by your doctor.
