How to Use

Dosage

Take one sachet once a day in the morning, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Method

Take the medicine by mouth about 30 minutes before breakfast. Place the granules directly on your tongue and swallow them with a glass of water. Do not chew the granules.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose is one sachet.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Cushing's syndrome, which may include rounded face, weight gain, high blood sugar or blood pressure, fluid retention, irregular periods, excessive body hair, impotence, or acne.
  • Digestive problems or stomach pain.
  • Increased risk of getting infections.
  • Muscle and joint pain, muscle weakness, or muscle twitching.
  • Bone loss (osteoporosis).
  • Headache.
  • Mood changes, such as feeling down, irritable, or very happy.
  • Skin issues like rash, red spots on the skin, slow wound healing, or local skin reactions.
RARE
  • Stomach or duodenal ulcers.
  • Restlessness, increased physical activity, and anxiety.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Pancreatitis.
  • Bone loss due to poor blood circulation.
  • Aggressiveness.
  • Bruising.
  • Stunted growth in children.
  • Constipation.
  • Increased brain pressure in adolescents, which may lead to increased eye pressure.
  • Increased risk of blood clots or vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels).
  • Fatigue and general feeling of unwellness.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to budesonide or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver disease (liver cirrhosis).
  • Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking this medicine, as it can change how the medicine works.
  • Stay away from people with chickenpox or shingles if you haven't had these diseases. If you have been in contact, contact your doctor immediately.
  • Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you have tuberculosis, high blood pressure, diabetes, bone loss (osteoporosis), stomach or duodenal ulcers, glaucoma, cataracts, or severe liver problems.
