How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will tell you your exact dose. You will take the daily dose in two equal parts, about 12 hours apart.
Method
Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water, with or without food. 100mg tablets can be divided into four equal doses.
Important
For adults and adolescents weighing 50 kg or more, the maximum daily dose is 200 mg.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Feeling sleepy or dizzy.
RARE
- •Flu-like illness (e.g., stuffy nose, cough, sore throat).
- •Feeling very tired.
- •Nausea, vomiting, constipation, loss of appetite.
- •Depression, anxiety, trouble sleeping, irritability, agitation, abnormal thoughts, feeling disconnected from reality, aggression, thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
- •Vertigo (a spinning sensation).
- •Allergic reactions.
- •Low white blood cell count (neutropenia), seen in blood tests.
- •Severe skin rash with blisters and peeling skin, especially around the mouth, nose, eyes, and genitals (Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
- •Restlessness and overactivity (in children).
Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to brivaracetam, similar medicines, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you get a severe skin rash, blistering, or skin peeling (like Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
- Contact your doctor immediately if you have thoughts of harming yourself or suicide.
- Tell your doctor if you have liver problems, as your dose may need to be changed.
- This medicine is not recommended for children under 2 years old.

- Do not drive or operate machines until you know how this medicine affects you, as it can cause drowsiness or dizziness.
- Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor, as it can increase your seizures.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss contraception with your doctor.
