How to Use

Dosage

One drop in the affected eye twice a day, in the morning and evening.

Method

Wash your hands. Shake the bottle and open the cap. Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid to form a small pocket. Drop one drop into this pocket. Do not let the tip of the bottle touch your eye. Close your eye and press the inner corner of your eye towards your nose for one minute. Repeat for the other eye if needed. Close the cap immediately after use.

Important

Do not use more than two drops per day in the affected eye or eyes.

RARE
  • Eye issues like light sensitivity, swelling, itching, redness, burning, deposits, changes in pigment, tired eyes, crusty eyelids, more tears, double or weak vision, flashes of light, numbness, increased eye pressure, or optic nerve damage. Also, problems with eyelids, vision, or eyelashes.
  • Heart problems (slower, faster, or irregular heartbeat, weaker heart) or breathing issues (shortness of breath, cough, chest pressure, asthma, wheezing).
  • Dizziness, memory problems, depression, nervousness, apathy, nightmares, general weakness, fatigue, pain, movement issues, numbness or tingling, tremors, headache, or feeling sleepy.
  • Stomach pain, feeling sick, throwing up, stomach upset, frequent bowel movements, diarrhea, gas, indigestion, changes in taste, or dry mouth.
  • Skin rash, itching, skin redness or inflammation, peeling skin, or hair loss.
  • Flu-like symptoms, sinus infection, sore throat, kidney pain, muscle or joint pain, swollen arms or legs, frequent urination, loss of appetite, feeling unwell, changes in blood pressure or blood test results, or increased allergy symptoms.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to brinzolamide, other ingredients in this medicine, or to sulfonamide medicines (like some diabetes medicines, antibiotics, or diuretics).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have severe kidney disease, liver problems, or if your blood is too acidic.
  • Stop using and see a doctor right away if you get a serious skin rash (red patches, blisters, peeling skin, or sores in your mouth, throat, nose, genitals, or eyes), especially if you also have fever or flu-like symptoms.
  • This medicine is not for infants, children, or teenagers under 18 unless your doctor says so.
  • If you can get pregnant, use effective birth control. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless your doctor specifically tells you to.

  • Do not drive or use machines until your vision is clear, as these eye drops can cause temporary blurry vision.
  • If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before using this medicine and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. This medicine contains a preservative that can be absorbed by soft lenses.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have dry eyes or problems with the front part of your eye (cornea).

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. Start and continue therapy under supervision by an ophthalmologist. Avoid use in severe renal impairment. (updated 4.12.2023)
