How to Use

Dosage

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually when needed, not regularly.

Method

Remove the cap, hold the inhaler upright, load a dose by twisting the blue grip back and forth until you hear a click. Breathe out gently, place the mouthpiece firmly in your mouth, breathe in deeply and strongly, and remove the inhaler from your mouth before breathing out. Remember to rinse your mouth with water after use.

Important

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor, and do not increase the dose on your own.

  • Shakiness (tremor)

  • Low potassium in blood
RARE
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Chest pain (may be related to heart problems or reduced blood flow to the heart)

  • Sleep or behavioral problems (like agitation, hyperactivity, restlessness, or disturbed sleep)
  • Tightening of the airways (bronchospasm, causing wheezing)
  • Hives
  • Skin rash

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to terbutaline sulfate or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, diabetes, or an overactive thyroid, as this medicine should be used with caution.
  • Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter ones, as some medicines can affect Bricanyl Turbuhaler or be affected by it.
  • If you are having surgery with anesthesia, tell your doctor that you are using this medicine.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to get pregnant, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine.

  • This medicine contains lactose and may contain small amounts of milk protein, which can cause allergic reactions in people sensitive to milk protein.
  • Always rinse your mouth with water after each use to reduce the risk of side effects in your mouth and throat.
  • Do not try to remove the mouthpiece, and do not use the device if it is damaged or if the mouthpiece is loose.
  • Children should only use this device under adult supervision to ensure correct technique.
