Bortezomib Avansor is a medicine that helps destroy cancer cells and is used to treat bone marrow cancer (multiple myeloma) in patients over 18 years old.
The usual starting dose is 1.3 mg/m² based on your body surface area, given twice a week.
The medicine is given as an injection into a vein (intravenously) or under the skin (subcutaneously), typically by a doctor or nurse. The injection into a vein is fast (3-5 seconds), and the injection under the skin is given in the thigh or abdomen.
Your doctor will determine the maximum daily dose and number of treatment cycles based on your treatment plan and how you respond.
