How to Use

Dosage

For adults and young people over 14 years: Take 10 ml (8 mg) of oral solution or 1 tablet (8 mg) three times a day. If needed, the dose can be increased to 20 ml (16 mg) of oral solution or 2 tablets (16 mg) three times a day at the start of treatment.

Method

Swallow tablets whole with water. You can take Bisolvon with or without food.

Important

Do not exceed 60 ml (48 mg) of oral solution or 6 tablets (48 mg) per day for adults and young people over 14 years. For children 6-14 years, do not exceed 15 ml (12 mg) of oral solution or 1.5 tablets (12 mg) per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea (feeling sick)
  • Upper stomach pain
RARE
  • Allergic reactions
  • Skin rash
  • Hives
  • Severe allergic reactions (e.g., anaphylactic shock), including swelling of the skin or mucous membranes (angioedema) and itching. Seek immediate medical help.
  • Severe skin reactions (e.g., erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis). Seek immediate medical help.
  • Narrowing of the airways (bronchospasm).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Bisolvon if you are allergic to bromhexine hydrochloride or any other ingredient in Bisolvon.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had stomach or duodenal ulcers.
  • If you get a severe skin rash (including sores in your mouth, throat, nose, eyes, or genital area), stop using Bisolvon and contact your doctor immediately.
  • Do not use Bisolvon for longer than one week unless your doctor tells you to.
  • Do not use Bisolvon if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
