How to Use

Dosage

Dose depends on age and weight. Children 6-15 years (20-26 kg): 5 ml, (27-45 kg): 7.5 ml, (46-60 kg): 15 ml, 3-4 times a day. Over 15 years and adults: 15 ml 3-4 times a day.

Method

Take the medicine by mouth. If you have a sore throat, gargle with the solution before swallowing. Take the last dose just before bedtime if cough disturbs sleep.

Important

Do not exceed the dosage: maximum 60 ml per day for adults and those over 15 years old, or maximum dose 4 times a day based on child's weight. Do not use for more than 2 weeks.

  • Low blood pressure
  • Convulsions (especially in small children)
  • Breathing pauses

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Lack of white blood cells
  • Restlessness
  • Hallucinations
  • Confusion
  • Blurred vision
  • Temporary rash
  • Severe allergic reactions (including difficulty breathing or dizziness due to anaphylactic shock, hypersensitivity, local skin swelling, hives, itching, and rashes)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to pentoxyverine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have breathing difficulties.
  • Do not take if you have symptoms of central nervous system depression, like drowsiness, weak muscles, or reduced awareness.
  • Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Do not give to children under 6 years old.

  • Not recommended if you have poor liver function, unless your doctor says it's safe.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have poor kidney function.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have a long-lasting cough (e.g., due to asthma or smoking) or a cough with a lot of mucus.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have high eye pressure (glaucoma), enlarged prostate, blocked urine flow, bowel blockage, or stomach/duodenal ulcers.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have high blood pressure or an irregular heartbeat.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have myasthenia gravis.
  • Children prone to seizures should be carefully monitored during treatment.
