Betaserc 24 mg ODT is a medicine used to treat symptoms of Meniere's disease and vertigo (dizziness) caused by inner ear balance problems, such as dizziness, nausea, ringing in the ears, and hearing loss.

How to Use

Dosage

One tablet twice a day.

Method

Place the tablet on your tongue and let it dissolve in your mouth before swallowing. You can take it with or without water, with or without food.

Important

Maximum of two tablets per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nausea (feeling sick)
  • Digestive issues, such as stomach pain, indigestion, bloating, or vomiting
  • Headache
RARE
  • Red, itchy, or lumpy skin rash
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
  • Rapid drop in blood pressure
  • Fainting or unconsciousness
  • Difficulty breathing

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Betaserc 24 mg ODT if you are allergic to betahistine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if your doctor has told you that you have a tumor on your adrenal gland (called pheochromocytoma).
  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have ever had a stomach ulcer or asthma.
  • This medicine should not be given to children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • If you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant, stop taking the medicine and talk to your doctor. Do not use this medicine during pregnancy unless your doctor says it is absolutely necessary.
