How to Use

Dosage

Take Betaserc tablets exactly as your doctor has told you. The usual dose is one or two 8 mg tablets three times a day, half or one 16 mg tablet three times a day, or one 24 mg tablet twice a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet with water. You can take it with or without food. Taking it with food may help if you experience stomach problems.

Important

Do not exceed the dose your doctor has prescribed. The maximum daily dose is usually 48 mg.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Betaserc if you are allergic to betahistine or any other ingredients in the medicine.
  • Do not use Betaserc if you have a tumor on your adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma).
  • Tell your doctor if you have ever had a stomach ulcer or asthma.
  • This medicine is not recommended for children under 18 years of age.
  • If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor before using this medicine. Do not use Betaserc during pregnancy without your doctor's approval.

  • Do not breastfeed while using Betaserc unless your doctor has given permission.
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines, such as antihistamines (allergy medicines) or MAO inhibitors (medicines for depression or Parkinson's disease), as they may affect how Betaserc works.
