How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 16 mg three times a day (total 48 mg). Your doctor may adjust your dose down to 8 mg three times a day (total 24 mg).

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with water, preferably with or after food to help prevent stomach upset. If you take more than one tablet a day, spread them out evenly throughout the day, for example, morning, midday, and evening. Try to take your tablets at the same time each day.

Important

Do not take more than 48 mg in a single day.

  • Red, lumpy rash, itchy or inflamed skin
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or neck
  • Sudden drop in blood pressure
  • Fainting or losing consciousness
  • Trouble breathing

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to betahistine or any other ingredient in the tablets.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have high blood pressure caused by a tumor in your adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma).
  • Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you have a stomach ulcer.
  • Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you have asthma.
  • Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you have hives, a skin rash, or allergic rhinitis, as these conditions might get worse.

  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, unless your doctor says it is absolutely necessary.
  • Do not breastfeed while using this medicine unless your doctor approves.
