How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 16 mg three times a day. Your doctor may reduce your dose to 8 mg three times a day.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with water, preferably with or after food. If taking more than one tablet a day, space them evenly and try to take them at the same time each day.

Important

The daily dose should not exceed 48 mg.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nausea
  • Indigestion
  • Headache
RARE
  • Red, bumpy, or itchy skin rash.
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or neck.
  • A sudden drop in blood pressure.
  • Fainting.
  • Difficulty breathing.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to betahistine or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take if you have high blood pressure caused by a tumor in your adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma).
  • Talk to your doctor before taking if you have a stomach ulcer, asthma, hives, rash, allergic rhinitis, or low blood pressure.
  • Not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • If you are pregnant, do not take this medicine unless your doctor says it is absolutely necessary.
