How to Use

Dosage

Apply a thin layer to the cleaned skin area 1-2 times a day.

Method

Apply externally to the affected skin. You can cover the area with a clean bandage if needed. Do not use on large skin areas. This medicine is for external use only; do not swallow it.

Important

Do not exceed 1-2 applications per day on a thin layer; avoid using on large skin areas.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to iodine or any other ingredient in Betadine ointment.
  • Do not use if you have an overactive thyroid or any other acute thyroid disease.
  • Stop using the product if you experience skin irritation, contact dermatitis, or an allergic reaction.
  • Continuous use of iodine antiseptics may cause thyroid problems. If you have a goiter or other non-acute thyroid diseases, using large amounts of iodine may cause an overactive thyroid.
  • Avoid using large amounts of iodine on newborns and infants due to the risk of an underactive thyroid. Ensure the ointment does not get into the baby's mouth.

  • Do not use before or after radioiodine scintigraphy (a thyroid scan) or radioiodine treatment for thyroid cancer.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. Avoid large amounts of povidone-iodine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
