How to Use

Dosage

Take 1 capsule as needed.

Method

Swallow the capsule whole with water.

Important

Do not take more than 3 capsules in a 24-hour period.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Benadryl if you are allergic to acrivastine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take Benadryl if you have had allergic reactions to an older antihistamine called triprolidine (like Actidil, Pro-Actidil) before.
  • Do not take Benadryl if you have very severe kidney problems.
  • Do not give Benadryl to children under 12 years of age.
  • Avoid drinking a lot of alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can make you feel more drowsy.

  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
  • This medicine can cause drowsiness. Be careful when driving or operating machines, especially when you first start taking it.
  • If your doctor has told you that you cannot tolerate some sugars (like lactose), talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
  • If you are going for an allergy test, stop taking Benadryl at least 2 days before the test.
  • If you experience a severe allergic reaction (like difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat), stop taking this medicine and seek medical help right away.
