How to Use

Dosage

Use Bemetson exactly as your doctor prescribed, typically in small amounts for short periods on small skin areas.

Method

Apply the medicine to the affected skin area as directed.

Important

Avoid long-term use, large amounts, or application to extensive skin areas, especially in children and during pregnancy, unless otherwise directed by a doctor.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Skin thinning from long-term use (fragile, paper-like skin, more visible blood vessels).
  • Stretch marks, bruising, rosacea, purple spots (purpura), widened surface blood vessels causing local redness.
  • Inflammation in treated skin areas.
RARE
  • Changes in skin color (increased or decreased pigmentation).
  • Decreased adrenal gland function, especially with long-term use over large areas.
  • Allergic contact dermatitis, hypersensitivity reactions.
  • Increased body hair growth.
  • Pustular psoriasis, worsening of rash.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Slow wound healing.
  • Increased eye pressure and risk of cataracts (if used near eyes).
  • Withdrawal symptoms after long-term use, such as skin redness spreading beyond the treated area, burning, stinging, severe itching, skin peeling, or pus-filled blisters.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to betamethasone or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use for skin infections caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi (such as impetigo, chickenpox, warts, or fungal infections).
  • Do not use on skin ulcers, such as leg or pressure ulcers.
  • Do not use on rosacea, acne, or dermatitis around the mouth.
  • Do not use on children under 1 year old with a rash.

  • Talk to your doctor if you notice skin thinning, sores, or widened blood vessels in the treated area.
  • Talk to your doctor if the treated skin area becomes irritated.
  • Avoid using on large skin areas, in skin folds, or under occlusive dressings.
  • If using on a child, talk to your doctor, as long-term use can affect their growth.
  • If you are using it for psoriasis, talk to your doctor.
  • If symptoms worsen or do not improve within 2-4 weeks, consult your doctor.
  • Avoid using on sensitive skin areas such as around the eyes, face, armpits, and skin folds.
  • Avoid getting the medicine in your eyes.
  • Discuss use with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; avoid large areas, amounts, or long-term use during pregnancy, and do not apply to breasts while breastfeeding.
