How to Use

Dosage

Adults and children over 14 years: 1 to 2 sprays in each nostril, two times a day.

Method

First, blow your nose. Shake the bottle well, then gently insert the nozzle into one nostril while pressing the other nostril closed. Tilt your head slightly forward, spray once, and breathe in slowly through your nose. Repeat for the other nostril.

Important

Do not use more than 8 sprays (400 micrograms) per day. If your symptoms don't get much better after 3 weeks, do not continue using this medicine.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Allergic reactions such as skin rash, hives, itching, and redness.
  • Unpleasant smell or taste in your mouth or nose.
  • Nosebleeds, irritation or dryness in the nose and throat, and sneezing.
RARE
  • Headache.
  • Sores inside the nose.
  • Increased pressure in the eye (glaucoma), and cataracts.
  • A hole in the wall between the nostrils (nasal septum perforation).
  • Blurred vision.

Important Warnings

  • Stop using Beclonasal Aqua and contact your doctor right away if you get swelling in your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or have trouble breathing. These could be signs of a serious allergic reaction.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to beclomethasone dipropionate or any other ingredients listed in this leaflet.
  • Talk to your doctor before using if you have sores or infections in your nose, very bad cold symptoms, shortness of breath with cold symptoms, a constant runny nose, a fever with a runny nose, frequent nosebleeds, or have had a nose injury or surgery.
  • Do not use if you have an untreated fungal, bacterial, widespread viral infection, or tuberculosis.
  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or any other eye problems.

  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines you are taking, especially other corticosteroid medicines (taken by mouth or inhaled) or certain HIV medicines (like ritonavir or cobicistat), as they can affect how Beclonasal Aqua works.
  • This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to be, or breastfeeding.
  • This medicine contains benzalkonium chloride, which can cause irritation or swelling inside your nose, especially with long-term use.
  • Children under 14 years should only use this medicine if a doctor tells them to.
