How to Use

Dosage

Typically 1-2 doses, 2-4 times a day. Your doctor will tell you the exact dose.

Method

Shake the inhaler 3-5 times, click once to load a dose, then place the mouthpiece in your mouth, seal your lips, and breathe in deeply and strongly. Hold your breath for at least 5 seconds, then breathe out normally. Rinse your mouth with water after each use.

Important

Do not exceed the dose your doctor has prescribed for you.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Sore throat
  • Throat irritation
  • Hoarseness
  • Cough
  • Fungal infection (thrush) in the mouth or throat
RARE
  • Sudden difficulty breathing or wheezing right after taking the dose
  • Severe allergic reaction (symptoms include itching, rash, red skin, swollen eyelids/lips/face/throat, low blood pressure, or fainting)
  • Problems with your adrenal glands
  • Slowed growth in children and teenagers
  • High levels of cortisol hormone in the body (Cushing's syndrome or similar symptoms)
  • Being overactive, having trouble sleeping, feeling nervous, sad, aggressive, or changes in behavior (these are more common in children)
  • Eye problems (like cataracts or glaucoma) or blurred vision
  • Eosinophilic pneumonia (a type of lung inflammation)
  • Easily bruised skin
  • Thinning of the skin
  • Lower bone mineral density (weak bones)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to beclomethasone or any other ingredients, including lactose.
  • Always carry your fast-acting asthma reliever medicine with you, as Beclomet Easyhaler does not stop an asthma attack that has already started.
  • Talk to your doctor before using this medicine if you have tuberculosis or an untreated infection (bacterial, viral, or fungal) in your mouth, airways, or eyes.
  • Contact your doctor if your asthma symptoms get worse, you need to use your reliever medicine more often, or if your reliever medicine doesn't work as well.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor first, as your asthma may get worse.
