Balcoga
Balcoga contains sildenafil and works by widening blood vessels in the lungs to lower high blood pressure, treating pulmonary hypertension in adults and children aged 1-17.
How to Use
Dosage
For adults, the recommended dose is 20 mg three times a day (every 6-8 hours), with or without food. For children and adolescents (1-17 years), the dose is either 10 mg three times a day (for those weighing 20 kg or less) or 20 mg three times a day (for those weighing over 20 kg), with or without food.
Method
Take the tablets by mouth. You can take them with or without food. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
For adults, the maximum is 60 mg per day (20 mg three times a day). For children weighing 20 kg or less, the maximum is 30 mg per day (10 mg three times a day). For children weighing over 20 kg, the maximum is 60 mg per day (20 mg three times a day).

Important Warnings
- If you are allergic to sildenafil or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- If you are taking medicines containing nitrates or nitric oxide donors (like amyl nitrite), as Balcoga can greatly increase their effects and cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
- If you are taking riociguat for high blood pressure in the lungs, as Balcoga can increase its blood pressure-lowering effect.
- If you have recently had a stroke, heart attack, severe liver disease, or very low blood pressure (below 90/50 mmHg).
- If you are taking medicines for fungal infections (like ketoconazole or itraconazole) or ritonavir for HIV.

- If you have ever lost your vision due to a blood flow problem to the optic nerve (NAION).
- If you suddenly experience worsening vision or vision loss, stop taking Balcoga and contact your doctor immediately.
- If you have an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours and is painful, stop taking Balcoga and contact your doctor immediately.
- Balcoga should not be given to children under 1 year of age.
- Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking Balcoga.
