For adults, typically start with 15 mg daily, gradually increasing to 30–80 mg per day. For children, the dose is based on weight, starting low and slowly increasing to 0.75–2 mg/kg daily.
Take the tablets with a meal and water. You can break the tablets into smaller pieces if needed.
For adults, generally up to 80 mg per day, but your doctor may prescribe more. For children under 8 years, a maximum of 40 mg per day. For children over 8 years, a maximum of 60 mg per day.
