Baclofen Sintetica is a muscle relaxant given as an injection directly into the spinal fluid to relieve severe muscle stiffness (spasticity) caused by conditions like brain or spinal cord injuries and multiple sclerosis.
The doctor will determine your dose after testing how you respond to the medicine. Treatment starts with a small dose and is slowly increased over a few days under medical supervision until the right dose is found.
Baclofen Sintetica is given as an injection directly into the spinal fluid. If the medicine works for you, a special pump will be implanted under your skin (usually in the chest or abdomen) to deliver the medicine continuously.
The maximum daily dose is decided by your doctor based on your individual needs and how you respond to the treatment.
Avoid use in older adults. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Significant adverse effects include sedation, confusion, depression, nightmares, muscular weakness and hypotension. Increases risk of falls. (updated 16.9.2024)
