How to Use

Dosage

One spray in each nostril, morning and evening.

Method

Use as a nasal spray. Shake the bottle well before use. Clear your nose, then tilt your head slightly forward and spray into each nostril while gently inhaling. Breathe out through your mouth.

Important

Do not exceed one spray in each nostril, twice a day, or as directed by your doctor. Using higher doses than recommended can lead to serious side effects.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nosebleed
  • Headache
  • Bitter taste in the mouth (especially if you tilt your head too far back when taking the spray)
  • Unpleasant sense of smell
RARE
  • Mild irritation inside the nose, stinging, itching, or sneezing
  • Dryness or irritation in the nose or throat, cough
  • Dry mouth
  • Dizziness or drowsiness
  • Cataracts, glaucoma, or increased eye pressure, which may lead to vision loss or red and painful eyes
  • Damage to the skin or lining of the nose
  • Nausea, tiredness, exhaustion, or weakness
  • Rash, itchy skin, or red, itchy welts (hives)
  • Tightening of the airways (bronchospasm)
  • Blurred vision
  • Nasal ulcers
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or a sudden rash (signs of a severe allergic reaction). Seek immediate medical attention.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to its active ingredients (azelastine or fluticasone propionate) or any other components.
  • Talk to your doctor before use if you have had recent nose surgery, a nasal infection, tuberculosis, or an untreated infection.
  • Contact your doctor if you experience changes in vision, have high eye pressure (glaucoma) or cataracts, or if you have adrenal or liver disease.
  • Long-term use may slow growth in children and adolescents.
  • This medicine may cause drowsiness or dizziness. If this occurs, do not drive or operate machinery. Alcohol can worsen these effects.
