How to Use

Dosage

Apply a thin layer to the affected skin, usually starting with the 0.025% cream.

Method

Wash and dry the skin, then apply a thin layer. Avoid sensitive areas like eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.

Important

Apply once daily, usually in the evening, after the skin has adjusted to the treatment.

Important Warnings

  • Your skin might become more easily irritated by strong wind or cold while using this medicine.
  • Your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight and light therapy. Protect your skin from the sun and avoid sunbeds. Do not apply cream to sunburned skin until it has healed.
  • Avoid applying the cream to eczematous or broken skin (e.g., after hair removal).
  • Avoid getting the cream in your eyes, mouth, nostrils, or other mucous membranes. If it happens, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Wash your hands carefully after each application.
  • Ensure effective contraception during Avitcid treatment.

  • DO NOT use Avitcid cream if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
  • If you are breastfeeding, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine.
  • Avoid using Avitcid cream at the same time as local benzoyl peroxide or oral isotretinoin. Benzoyl peroxide makes Avitcid less effective.
  • Avoid harsh drying or exfoliating cosmetic products. Do not use chemical hair removers or wax on treated skin.
