How to Use

Dosage

For sudden asthma attacks, use 2 puffs. If breathing doesn't improve after 5 minutes, you can take another 2 puffs. For regular use or exercise-induced asthma, take 1-2 puffs, 3 times a day.

Method

Remove the protective cap. Breathe out completely. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and seal your lips around it. Press the canister down firmly and breathe in deeply at the same time. Hold your breath for a few seconds. Remove from mouth and breathe out slowly. Replace the protective cap.

Important

Do not take more than 8 puffs in one day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to ipratropium bromide, fenoterol hydrobromide, atropine, or related substances.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, recent heart attack, low potassium, overactive thyroid, a tumor on your adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma), an enlarged prostate, narrowed urinary tract, or glaucoma.
  • If you have diabetes, your blood sugar may increase, so monitor it carefully.
  • Avoid getting the spray in your eyes, as it can cause eye pain, blurred vision, and temporary vision problems. If it gets in your eyes, rinse with water and seek medical help if symptoms persist.
  • Stop using the medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you experience chest tightness, coughing, wheezing, or shortness of breath right after using it.

  • Practice good oral hygiene, as dry mouth from the medicine can increase the risk of tooth decay.
  • If your condition worsens or the medicine is less effective, contact your doctor immediately.
  • This medicine may show up in doping tests for athletes.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
  • This medicine can cause dizziness or vision problems, which may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Do not drive or use machines until these symptoms have passed.
  • Use only the mouthpiece provided with this specific Atrovent comp. ECO inhaler. Never use it with other inhalers.
  • If you accidentally take too much of this medicine, contact a doctor or poison control center immediately.
