Method

Atropin Abboxia is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse, either under the skin or directly into a vein.

Your doctor or nurse will ensure that the dose does not exceed the safe maximum daily amount.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to atropine sulfate or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have difficulty urinating, especially if you are a man with an enlarged prostate.
  • Do not use if you have high pressure in your eyes (glaucoma).
  • Do not use if you have a bowel obstruction or paralyzed bowels.
  • Do not use if you have severe colon inflammation (ulcerative colitis) or its complications.

  • Tell your doctor if you have certain heart conditions, high blood pressure, stomach or bowel problems, high body temperature, liver or kidney problems, overactive thyroid, nerve damage affecting body functions (autonomic neuropathy), surgical openings in intestines (ileostomy/colostomy), chronic lung disease, or severe muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis).
  • Use with caution in children and the elderly, as they may be more sensitive to the medicine's effects.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine.
