Atropin is a medicine used before anesthesia, to reverse muscle relaxation, for certain poisonings, and to treat a slow heart rate.
Your doctor will decide your dose. For example, before surgery, the dose might be around 0.01 mg per kg of body weight, up to 0.6 mg, or 0.5 mg for a slow heart rate.
This medicine is given as an injection into a vein or muscle by a doctor or nurse.
The treating doctor will determine the maximum daily dose for your specific condition. For some heart conditions, the maximum might be 3 mg.
