How to Use

Dosage

Adults usually start with 40 mg daily for at least 7 days, then typically 80-100 mg daily. For children and adolescents, the doctor will calculate the dose based on body weight.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with or without food, once or twice daily (morning and late afternoon/early evening). Do not open the capsules.

Important

The maximum daily dose for adults and children over 70 kg is 100 mg. For children under 70 kg, the doctor determines the maximum dose.

  • Raynaud's phenomenon (poor circulation causing numbness and paleness in fingers/toes)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to atomoxetine or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have used an MAO inhibitor (for depression or other mental health problems) in the last two weeks, as this can cause serious or life-threatening side effects.
  • Tell your doctor if you have serious heart problems or blood vessel problems in your brain, as this medicine can make them worse.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver problems, as you may need a lower dose.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have thoughts of harming yourself, or if you experience aggression, mood changes, or psychotic symptoms (like hearing voices or seeing things that aren't there).
