Atomoxetine STADA helps manage Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms by increasing a natural brain chemical called noradrenaline, which improves attention and reduces impulsivity and hyperactivity.
How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will tell you the right dose based on your weight. For adults, treatment usually starts with 40 mg daily for 7 days, then increases to 80-100 mg daily. For children and adolescents over 6 years and weighing up to 70 kg, it starts at 0.5 mg/kg daily, increasing to about 1.2 mg/kg daily. For those over 70 kg, it starts at 40 mg daily, increasing to 80 mg daily.
Method
Take the capsules whole, with or without food, usually once or twice a day (morning, and late afternoon/early evening). Do not open the capsules or empty their contents. Children should not take this medicine without adult help.
The maximum daily dose for adults and children over 70 kg is 100 mg. For children weighing up to 70 kg, your doctor will determine the maximum daily dose, which is typically around 1.2 mg/kg.

- •Feeling very tired or having low energy
- •Losing weight
- •Chest pain
- •Lower sex drive
- •A strange taste in your mouth that doesn't go away
- •Shaking (tremor)
- •Tingling or numbness in your hands or feet
- •Hot flushes
- •Sweating more than usual
- •Problems peeing, like trouble starting, needing to pee often, or pain when peeing
- •Prostate inflammation (for men)
- •Groin pain (for men)
- •Trouble getting or keeping an erection
- •Delayed orgasm

- •Thoughts of harming yourself
- •Aggressive behavior

- •Severe allergic reaction (swelling of face/throat, trouble breathing, hives)

- •Seeing or hearing things that aren't real, or having false beliefs (psychosis)
- •Liver damage (signs like dark pee, yellow skin/eyes, unexplained sickness, pain in upper right stomach)
- •Poor blood flow to fingers and toes, making them numb and white (Raynaud's phenomenon)
- •Fainting
- •Migraine headache
- •Blurred eyesight
- •Strange skin feelings like burning or prickling
- •Feeling short of breath
- •A long-lasting and painful erection
- •Cold fingers and toes
- •Muscle twitches
- •Frequent urge to pee
- •Unable to have an orgasm or abnormal orgasm
- •Irregular periods
- •Unable to ejaculate
- •Feeling restless
- •Grinding teeth (bruxism)
Important Warnings
- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to atomoxetine or any of its other ingredients.
- Do not take this medicine if you have used certain antidepressants called MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks, as it can cause serious side effects.
- Do not take this medicine if you have an eye condition called narrow-angle glaucoma (high pressure in your eye).
- Do not take this medicine if you have severe heart problems or problems with blood vessels in your brain, as this medicine can affect your heart rate and blood pressure.
- Do not take this medicine if you have a tumor on your adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma).

- Talk to your doctor if you have thoughts of harming yourself or have attempted suicide.
- Talk to your doctor if you have liver problems, as you may need a lower dose.
- Do not open the capsules, as the powder inside can irritate your eyes. Rinse immediately if contact occurs.
