How to Use

Dosage

Adults usually start with 40 mg daily for 7 days, then increase to 80-100 mg daily. For children, the doctor will calculate the dose based on weight.

Method

Swallow capsules whole, with or without food, once or twice a day (morning and late afternoon/early evening). Do not open the capsules. Children should not take this medicine without adult help.

Important

The maximum daily dose for adults and children over 70 kg is 100 mg. For children up to 70 kg, the maximum dose is about 1.2 mg per kg.

  • Poor circulation causing numbness and paleness in fingers or toes (Raynaud's phenomenon)
  • Muscle cramps (adults)
  • Difficulty emptying your bladder (adults)
  • Sexual problems (e.g., difficulty reaching orgasm, problems with ejaculation, abnormal periods) (adults)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to atomoxetine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have used certain antidepressants called MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks, as this can cause serious side effects.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe heart problems, high blood pressure, or a history of stroke.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver problems, epilepsy, or a tumor on your adrenal gland.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you have suicidal thoughts, feel aggressive, or notice new mood changes.

  • Do not open the capsules, as the powder inside can irritate your eyes. If it gets in your eyes, rinse them well and see a doctor.
  • Be careful driving or using machines if this medicine makes you feel tired, sleepy, or dizzy.
