How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose based on your weight. For the first 7 days, it's usually a lower dose, then it may be increased.

Method

Swallow the capsule whole with water, with or without food. Do not open the capsule. Take it at the same time each day.

Important

The maximum daily dose for children and adults is 100 mg. Your doctor will tell you your exact maximum dose.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to atomoxetine or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have used certain depression medicines (MAOIs) in the last two weeks.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have serious heart problems or a fast heartbeat, as this medicine can make them worse.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have serious blood vessel problems in your brain, such as a stroke.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have high pressure in your eye (narrow-angle glaucoma).

  • Talk to your doctor if you have thoughts of harming yourself or taking your own life.
  • Tell your doctor if you feel aggressive, hostile, or angry, or if these feelings get worse.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have ever had seizures or epilepsy, as this medicine might increase the risk.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience confusion, restlessness, stiff muscles, hallucinations, fast heartbeat, or high fever, as these could be signs of a serious condition called Serotonin Syndrome.
