Important Warnings

  • Do not use Atenativ if you are allergic to human antithrombin III or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Even with safety measures in place during manufacturing, there's a small, unpreventable risk of viral infection because the medicine is derived from human plasma.
  • Parvovirus infection can be serious for pregnant women, people with weakened immune systems, or those with increased red blood cell production.
  • Atenativ can increase the risk of bleeding if taken with heparin. Your doctor will monitor your condition and perform blood tests if you use both medicines.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using this medicine. Atenativ should only be used if your doctor considers it absolutely necessary.
