How to Use

Dosage

For adults, take 1 to 2 sachets (500-1000 mg) as a single dose, repeated if needed after at least 4 hours. For children over 12, take 1 sachet (500 mg) as a single dose, repeated if needed after at least 4 hours.

Method

Pour the granules directly onto your tongue. Let them melt in your saliva before swallowing. It's best to take them after a meal.

Important

Adults should not take more than 4000 mg (8 sachets) per day. Children over 12 should not take more than 1500 mg (3 sachets) per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Upset stomach, stomach pain, feeling sick, diarrhea, or throwing up.
  • Allergic reactions like skin rash, runny nose, or breathing problems that get worse with aspirin.
  • More swelling if you have heart problems.
  • Narrowing of the gut (especially with long-term use).
RARE
  • Inflammation or sores in the digestive system.
  • Serious or life-threatening bleeding in the digestive system, including bleeding that makes a hole.
  • Severe allergic reactions or skin rashes.
  • Higher levels of liver enzymes (shown in blood tests).
  • Low blood sugar.
  • Low number of blood clotting cells (platelets).
  • Breakdown of red blood cells (hemolysis) in people with a rare genetic condition (G6PD deficiency).
  • Kidney problems or sudden kidney failure.
  • Wounds may bleed longer than usual, which can lead to iron-poor blood.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to aspirin or similar pain medicines, have had asthma attacks from them, or have bleeding problems.
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney, liver, or heart failure, or a stomach ulcer.
  • Avoid if you are in the last three months of pregnancy; consult a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Talk to your doctor if you take blood thinners or other medications, as Aspirin Zipp can affect them.
  • Do not give to children under 12 without a doctor's advice, especially for fever with viral infections, due to a serious risk called Reye's syndrome.

  • Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine as it can increase the risk of stomach bleeding.
  • This medicine contains aspartame, which is a source of phenylalanine, and sodium. If you have phenylketonuria or need to limit sodium, talk to your doctor.
  • Do not use this medicine for more than 3 to 5 days without talking to your doctor.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category D

Avoid use in older adults. Not suitable for use as analgesic or antipyretic medication. Increases swelling, worsens renal and heart failure and causes cardiovascular events. Increases risk of bleeding, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Consider potential interactions especially with preparations that increase risk of bleeding. Consider acetylsalicylic acid in OTC drugs and combination products. (updated 24.3.2025)
