Important

As needed, typically 3-5 times a day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Temporary blurred vision
  • Mild stinging
RARE
  • Allergic reaction (e.g., severe itching, redness, or swollen eyelids)
  • Cloudy spots on the cornea due to calcium buildup, especially with severe corneal damage

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to hypromellose or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • If the drops cause temporary blurred vision, wait until your vision returns to normal before driving or operating machinery.
  • If you wear contact lenses and use Artelac eye drops from a bottle, remove them before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. This is not necessary with single-dose units.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a baby, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
  • If you have serious damage to the clear front part of your eye (cornea), phosphates in this medicine may very rarely cause cloudy spots on the cornea due to calcium buildup during treatment.
