How to Use

Dosage

For adults, the usual dose is 15 mg once a day. For adolescents (13 years and older), treatment often starts with a liquid form at a lower dose, gradually increasing to 10 mg once a day.

Method

Take the tablet whole with water every day at the same time, with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose for both adults and adolescents is 30 mg.

  • Drop in blood pressure when standing up, causing dizziness or fainting
  • Hiccups

Important Warnings

  • Tell your doctor right away if you have thoughts of harming yourself or suicide.
  • Inform your doctor if you or your family have a history of high blood sugar or diabetes.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a history of seizures (kouristuskohtauksia).
  • Inform your doctor if you have involuntary muscle movements, especially in your face.
  • Tell your doctor about any heart or blood vessel problems, stroke, or abnormal blood pressure.

  • Inform your doctor if you or your family have a history of blood clots.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had compulsive gambling, overeating, excessive shopping, or unusual sexual thoughts or behaviors.
  • If you notice weight gain, movement problems, drowsiness that affects daily life, or difficulty swallowing, tell your doctor.
  • If you are elderly and have dementia (memory problems), tell your doctor if you have had a stroke.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience muscle stiffness, high fever, sweating, changes in awareness, or a very fast or irregular heart rate.
  • This medicine can cause drowsiness, a drop in blood pressure when standing, or dizziness, which may lead to falls. Be careful, especially if you are elderly or frail.
  • This medicine should not be given to children under 13 years of age.
  • Do not stop taking your medication without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.
