How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose for adults is 15 mg once a day, but your doctor may adjust it.

Method

Take Aripiprazol Krka by mouth with water, swallowing the tablet whole. You can take it with or without food, try to take it at the same time each day.

Important

The maximum daily dose for adults is 30 mg.

  • Akathisia (a feeling of inner restlessness and a strong need to move constantly)
  • Uncontrollable twitching, jerking, or writhing movements

  • Blurred vision
  • Constipation (infrequent bowel movements or difficulty in defecation)
  • Indigestion

  • Changes in blood prolactin hormone levels (decreased or increased)
  • High blood sugar
  • Depression
  • Altered or increased sexual desire
  • Uncontrollable movements of the mouth, tongue, and limbs (tardive dyskinesia)
  • Muscle tension disorder causing writhing movements (dystonia)
  • Restless legs
  • Double vision
  • Light sensitivity of eyes
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Drop in blood pressure when standing up, causing dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting
  • Hiccups

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to aripiprazole or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have thoughts of harming yourself.
  • Tell your doctor if you have high blood sugar, diabetes, seizures, abnormal muscle movements, heart or blood vessel problems, a history of blood clots, or a history of excessive gambling.
  • Contact your doctor if you gain weight, have new movement problems, feel very sleepy, have trouble swallowing, or experience allergic reactions.
  • If you are elderly with dementia, tell your doctor if you have had a stroke or mini-stroke before.

  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience muscle stiffness, high fever, sweating, changes in awareness, or a very fast or irregular heartbeat.
  • Tell your doctor if you or your family notice new strong urges or behaviors that are unusual for you and hard to control, such as gambling, overeating, excessive shopping, or unusual sexual thoughts or drives.
  • This medicine can make you sleepy, dizzy, or affect your balance, increasing the risk of falls, especially if you are elderly or weak. Be careful.
  • Do not use this medicine for children under 13 years old.
  • Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning a pregnancy, or think you might be pregnant, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness and blurred vision, so be careful when driving or operating machinery.
  • Do not change your dose or stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better.
