How to Use

Dosage

Usually 30 mg twice a day (one tablet in the morning, one in the evening). If you have severe kidney problems, the dose is 30 mg once a day (in the morning).

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with water. You can take them with or without food. Take one tablet in the morning and one in the evening, around the same time each day.

Important

60 mg per day (30 mg in the morning and 30 mg in the evening). If you have severe kidney problems, up to 30 mg per day.

  • Bleeding in the gut or stomach
  • Suicidal thoughts or behavior
  • Severe allergic reaction (swelling of face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat, leading to breathing or swallowing difficulties)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to apremilast or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant. You must use effective birth control during treatment. Do not breastfeed while taking this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you experience new or worsening depression, suicidal thoughts, or changes in mood or behavior.
  • If you have severe kidney problems, your doctor will adjust your dose.
  • Talk to your doctor if you experience unexplained weight loss during treatment.

  • Contact your doctor if you have severe diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, especially rifampicin (for tuberculosis), phenytoin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine (for seizures), and St. John's wort (a herbal remedy).
