How to Use

Dosage

After the first 6 days, take one 30 mg tablet twice a day.

Method

Take the tablets by mouth, swallowing them whole with water. You can take them with or without food, one in the morning and one in the evening, around the same time each day.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 60 mg.

  • Bleeding in intestines or stomach
  • Suicidal thoughts or behavior
  • Severe allergic reaction (swelling of face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to apremilast or any other ingredients, or if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
  • Tell your doctor right away if you have worsening depression, mood changes, or thoughts of harming yourself.
  • If you have severe kidney problems, your dose might be different.
  • Talk to your doctor if you lose weight without trying while taking this medicine.
  • Contact your doctor if you have severe diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting.

  • This medicine is not recommended for children and teenagers under 18 years old.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, including herbal remedies, especially rifampicin, phenytoin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine, or St. John's wort.
  • Use effective birth control during treatment to prevent pregnancy.
  • If you are 65 or older, you may have a higher risk of severe diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. If these stomach problems are severe, talk to your doctor.
