How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one 30 mg tablet taken twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, after the initial dosing period.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with water, with or without food. Try to take them around the same time each morning and evening.

Important

The maximum dose you should take in one day is 60 mg.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Apremilast Hexal if you are allergic to apremilast or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding. You should use effective birth control while taking it.
  • Tell your doctor right away if you experience new or worsening depression, mood changes, or suicidal thoughts.
  • If you have severe kidney problems, your doctor will adjust your dose to 30 mg once a day.
  • Talk to your doctor if you lose weight without trying while taking this medicine.

  • Contact your doctor if you have severe diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting.
  • Apremilast Hexal is not recommended for children and teenagers under 17 years old.
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines like rifampicin (for tuberculosis), phenytoin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine (for seizures), or St. John's wort (a herbal remedy for mood).
