Usually, one 2.5 mg tablet twice a day. Your doctor will tell you the exact dose for your condition.
Swallow the tablet whole with water. You can take it with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day. If you have trouble swallowing it whole, you can crush it and mix it with water, apple juice, or apple sauce just before taking.
Do not take more than 20 mg per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise for a short period.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Consider renal impairment, age and body weight when determining the dosage. Consider potential interactions especially with other drugs that increase the risk of bleeding. (updated 19.9.2025)
