How to Use

Dosage

For adults: a starting dose of 200 mg on the first day, then 100 mg per day. For children and adolescents (1 month to under 18 years): a starting dose of 3.0 mg/kg (up to 200 mg) on the first day, then 1.5 mg/kg (up to 100 mg) per day, dose depends on weight.

Method

The medicine is given once a day as a slow infusion (drip) into a vein.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to anidulafungin, other echinocandins, or any other ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver problems or if you receive anaesthetics during treatment.
  • Your doctor will monitor you for signs of allergic reactions (itching, wheezing, rash) or infusion reactions (rash, hives, redness).
  • Be careful if you experience shortness of breath, dizziness, or fainting.
  • This medicine must not be given to babies younger than 1 month old.

  • Use during pregnancy is not recommended. Use effective contraception if you can become pregnant. Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
  • This medicine contains fructose. If you or your child has hereditary fructose intolerance, this medicine must not be given. Tell your doctor if you have any sugar intolerances.
