How to Use

Dosage

The typical dose is one 150 microgram injection. For children weighing 15-30 kg, this is the usual dose.

Method

Inject into the outer thigh muscle. Hold the auto-injector against the outer thigh, press the red button until it clicks, and hold for 10 seconds.

Important

If symptoms do not improve or worsen within 5-15 minutes after the first injection, a second injection may be given. Always carry more than one Anapen Junior.

  • Your doctor must show you exactly how and when to use this medicine.
  • Always see a doctor immediately after using Anapen Junior, even if you feel better, to find out what caused your allergy and for further observation.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, thyroid problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, or other medical conditions.
  • If you have asthma, you might be at a higher risk for severe allergic reactions.
  • If you have food allergies, check all food and medicine labels carefully, as even small amounts can cause severe reactions.

  • Avoid injecting into a blood vessel, hand, or foot, as this can be dangerous and cause blood flow problems. If this happens, seek immediate medical help. Repeated injections in the same spot can harm the skin.
  • This medicine contains sodium metabisulphite, which can cause allergic reactions or breathing issues, especially if you have asthma. Seek immediate medical attention if these symptoms occur.
  • Alcohol can make the medicine's effects stronger and potentially increase side effects.
  • Do not drive or operate machines after using this medicine, as you might still have symptoms from the allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock).
  • If you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using this medicine.
