Anafranil is a medicine used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic attacks, fears, and long-lasting pain.
Your doctor will decide your dose. For depression, OCD, or anxiety, it's usually 75-150 mg per day. For panic attacks, it starts at 10 mg daily, slowly increasing to 100 mg daily. For long-term pain, it's usually 10-150 mg per day.
Swallow the tablets whole or divided with plenty of liquid. Do not chew or crush them. You can take Anafranil with or without food. Avoid grapefruit, grapefruit juice, and cranberry juice while taking this medicine.
Do not take more than 150 mg per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
