How to Use
Dosage
Adults and adolescents 16 years and older: 3 tablets. Children 0-4 years: 1 tablet. Children 5-15 years: 2 tablets.
Method
Take a single dose as soon as possible after a bite or sting with a small amount of water. Avoid extra fluids for the next 30 minutes.
Important
This medicine is for a single dose only and should not be used for long-term treatment.
Possible Side Effects
RARE
- •Hypersensitivity reactions (allergic reactions)
- •Weight gain
- •Thickening of the heart muscle (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) in premature infants
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to hydrocortisone or any other ingredient in the medicine.
- Talk to your doctor if you have an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).
- Contact a doctor immediately if you experience muscle weakness, muscle pain, cramps, or stiffness while using the medicine.
- This medicine is not for long-term use or for treating common allergy symptoms.
- Patients bitten by a viper should always seek further medical care.

- If the medicine is given to a premature baby, heart function and structure may need to be monitored.
- Hydrocortisone can cause muscle weakness in myasthenia gravis patients using anticholinesterase.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines you are taking or have recently taken.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
