Possible Side Effects

RARE
- •Severe allergic reaction (e.g., hives, swelling of face/lips/tongue, difficulty breathing)
- •Reduced white blood cells, which can make you prone to infections (symptoms like fever, sore throat)
- •Inflammation of the large intestine (symptoms: watery diarrhea, stomach pain, fever)
- •Anemia (reduced red blood cells, causing pale skin, weakness, shortness of breath)
- •Reduced platelets (can cause easy bruising or bleeding)
- •Changes in white blood cell count (e.g., too few or too many white blood cells)
- •Inflammation of the tongue and mouth lining
- •Nausea and vomiting
- •Severe peeling skin inflammation
- •Severe skin changes (e.g., red patches, blisters)
- •Yeast infection (e.g., thrush)
- •Pain at the injection site
- •Increased liver enzyme values (seen in blood tests)
Important Warnings
- Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to ampicillin, penicillin, or other similar antibiotics (beta-lactams), or if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any antibiotic.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, bowel disease (like colitis), or myasthenia gravis (a muscle weakness condition).
- If you experience severe diarrhea (possibly with blood or mucus), stomach pain, and/or fever during or after treatment, tell your doctor immediately.
- Tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines, such as allopurinol (for gout) or methotrexate (for cancer or rheumatism), as they can affect Ampicillin Stada Nordic.
