Amoxin is a penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in the body and also for stomach ulcers in combination with other medicines.
Your doctor will decide the dose based on the child's weight, usually 40–90 mg per kg of body weight per day.
Shake the bottle well before each use. Take by mouth using the spoon or syringe provided in the package. Take doses evenly, at least 4 hours apart.
For children under 40 kg, the maximum recommended dose is 100 mg per kg of body weight per day. This suspension is generally not prescribed for adults or children weighing 40 kg or more.
Suitable for older adults. Increase the dosing interval in severe renal impairment. May potentiate the effect of methotrexate. (updated 6.11.2023)
