How to Use

Dosage

One tablet daily.

Method

Take the tablet with a glass of water at the same time each day, preferably in the morning. You can take it with or without food, but do not take it with grapefruit or grapefruit juice.

Important

Do not exceed one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting (especially when standing up)
  • Headache, tiredness, drowsiness
  • Feeling your heartbeat (palpitations), flushing (redness of the skin)
  • Swollen ankles
  • Stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dry mouth, changes in appetite, taste changes
  • Frequent urination, increased nighttime urination
  • Muscle cramps, muscle weakness or pain, joint swelling or pain, back pain, limb pain
  • Skin rash, itching, sweating, hair loss
  • Difficulty getting or keeping an erection
  • Changes in blood tests (e.g., low potassium, magnesium, or sodium; high uric acid, calcium, or blood fats)
  • Vision problems (e.g., blurred or impaired vision), ringing in the ears
  • Nerve problems (e.g., tingling, numbness)
  • Mood changes (e.g., anxiety, depression, insomnia)
  • Weakness, inability to stand or walk normally, abnormal coordination
  • Bad breath, throat irritation, cough, shortness of breath
  • Weight gain or loss
RARE
  • Very low urine output (a sign of kidney problems)
  • Unusual bleeding or bruising (due to low platelet count)
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Liver problems (e.g., yellow skin or eyes, dark urine)
  • Sudden wheezing, chest pain, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing
  • Swelling of the eyelids, face, or lips, or swelling of the tongue and throat (making it hard to breathe)
  • Severe skin reactions (e.g., widespread rash, hives, redness, severe itching, blisters, peeling skin, swollen mucous membranes, fever)
  • Heart attack
  • Inflammation of the pancreas (causing severe stomach and back pain, and feeling very unwell)
  • Weakness, bruising, fever, and frequent infections (signs of bone marrow problems)
  • Stiffness
  • Acute breathing problems (with symptoms like severe shortness of breath, fever, weakness, and confusion)
  • High blood sugar, sugar in urine, worsening diabetes
  • Increased sensitivity to sun
  • Confusion
  • Swollen gums, swollen abdomen (gastritis)
  • Increased muscle tension, blood vessel inflammation
  • Photosensitivity
  • Movement disorders (e.g., rigidity, tremor)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to amlodipine, valsartan, hydrochlorothiazide, sulfonamides, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver or kidney problems, cannot urinate, have gout, very low blood pressure, severe heart problems like aortic narrowing or heart failure after a heart attack, or if you have diabetes and are taking aliskiren.
  • Do not take if your blood potassium or sodium levels are too low, or if your blood calcium levels are too high.
  • Do not consume grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking this medicine.

  • If you experience sudden swelling of your face or throat, stop taking this medicine immediately and contact a doctor. Do not take this medicine again.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, or headache. If you feel these symptoms, do not drive or use machines.
  • Protect your skin from sun and UV light while taking this medicine, as it may increase skin cancer risk with long-term use.
  • If you develop severe shortness of breath or breathing problems after taking this medicine, seek immediate medical attention.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to, even if you feel well.
