How to Use

Dosage

One tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet with a glass of water at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not take with grapefruit or grapefruit juice.

Important

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor, which is usually one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Flu-like symptoms, stuffy nose, sore throat, and difficulty swallowing.
  • Headache, dizziness, or drowsiness.
  • Swelling in your arms, hands, legs, ankles, or feet.
  • Feeling tired or weak.
  • Redness and warmth in your face and/or neck.
  • Stomach pain or feeling sick (nausea).
  • Feeling your heart beat fast (palpitations).
RARE
  • Changes in mood, anxiety, depression, inability to sleep, tremors, or confusion.
  • Loss of taste, ringing in the ears, fainting, or tingling/numbness in hands or feet.
  • Vision problems, low blood pressure (making you dizzy or confused), or dizziness when standing up.
  • Dry mouth, cough, diarrhea, constipation, or vomiting.
  • Rash, red skin, itching, hair loss, increased sweating, skin discoloration, or swelling in the intestines (with stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea).
  • Joint pain, back pain, muscle pain, muscle cramps, or increased muscle tension.
  • Problems with urination, increased need to urinate at night, or increased frequency of urination.
  • Erectile dysfunction, breast pain/enlargement in men, feeling generally unwell, weight gain/loss, light sensitivity, or swollen gums.
  • Reduced white blood cells or platelets (causing bruising/bleeding), high blood sugar, liver problems (like hepatitis, jaundice, or high liver enzymes), or inflammation of blood vessels (vasculitis).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to amlodipine, valsartan, or any other ingredient. An allergic reaction may cause itching, red skin, or breathing difficulties.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are more than 3 months pregnant or planning to get pregnant, as it can harm your baby.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have severe liver or gallbladder problems.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have very low blood pressure.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have a narrowing of the heart's aortic valve, cardiogenic shock (heart cannot pump enough blood), or heart failure after a heart attack.

  • Do not use this medicine if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are also taking a blood pressure medicine that contains aliskiren.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience swelling of your face, throat, or other body parts. Stop taking this medicine and do not use it again.
  • Do not consume grapefruit or grapefruit juice with this medicine, as it can increase the medicine's effect.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. Monitor renal function and potassium concentrations during the pharmacotherapy. Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs. (updated 14.4.2025)
