How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one tablet once a day.

Method

Take one tablet with water at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not take with grapefruit or grapefruit juice.

Important

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor.

  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)

  • Increased or frequent urination
  • Inability to get or keep an erection

  • Itching
  • Muscle cramps

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to amlodipine, valsartan, other calcium channel blockers, or any other ingredients in this medicine. Symptoms may include itching, red skin, or breathing difficulties.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver or gallbladder problems, such as cirrhosis or cholestasis.
  • Do not use if you are more than 3 months pregnant. It is also recommended to avoid this medicine in early pregnancy.
  • Do not use if you have very low blood pressure (hypotension).
  • Do not use if you have a narrowing of the aortic valve (aortic stenosis), cardiogenic shock (when your heart cannot pump enough blood), or heart failure after a heart attack.

  • Do not use if you have high blood sugar, type 2 diabetes, or kidney problems and are being treated with aliskiren (another blood pressure lowering medicine).
  • If you develop swelling, especially of the face or throat, while taking this or other medicines (including ACE inhibitors), stop using this medicine immediately and contact your doctor. You should not use Amlodipin/Valsartan Krka again.
  • Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking this medicine, as it can increase the levels of amlodipine in your blood and lead to an unpredictable increase in the blood pressure-lowering effect.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness, affecting your ability to concentrate. Do not drive, use machines, or perform activities requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. Monitor renal function and potassium concentrations during the pharmacotherapy. Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs. (updated 14.4.2025)
