How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet at the same time each day with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than your doctor has prescribed.

  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Stuffy nose, sore throat, and difficulty swallowing

  • Swelling of arms, hands, legs, ankles, or feet

  • Dizziness
  • Nausea and stomach pain
  • Dry mouth
  • Drowsiness
  • Tingling or numbness in hands or feet
  • Vertigo
  • Fast heartbeat or palpitations
  • Dizziness when standing up
  • Cough
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Rash and red skin
  • Joint swelling, back pain, joint pain
  • Restlessness
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Fainting
  • Increased need to urinate or more frequent urination
  • Trouble getting or keeping an erection
  • Feeling of pressure
  • Low blood pressure, causing dizziness and confusion
  • Excessive sweating
  • Rash all over the body
  • Itching
  • Muscle cramps
  • Confusion
  • Severe stomach pain with swelling in the gut, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea (intestinal angioedema)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to amlodipine, valsartan, or similar medicines, or if you are allergic to any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • If you have severe liver or bile problems.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are more than three months pregnant, or if you are planning to become pregnant.
  • If you have very low blood pressure.
  • If you have a narrowed heart valve (aortic stenosis) or a condition where your heart cannot pump enough blood.

  • If you suffer from heart failure after a heart attack.
  • If you have type 2 diabetes or kidney disease and are taking a blood pressure medicine containing aliskiren.
  • If you develop swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat with other blood pressure medicines (ACE inhibitors), stop this medicine and contact your doctor immediately.
  • Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice with this medicine, as it can increase its effects.
  • Not recommended for breastfeeding mothers, especially if the baby is newborn or premature.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness, which can affect your ability to drive or use machines. Be careful.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. Monitor renal function and potassium concentrations during the pharmacotherapy. Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs. (updated 14.4.2025)
