Amlodipin Sandoz is a medication that belongs to a group of medicines called calcium channel blockers and it is used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain (angina).
The usual starting dose is 5 mg once a day. Your doctor may increase the dose to 10 mg once a day.
Take the tablet with a glass of water at the same time each day, with or without food.
The maximum daily dose is 10 mg for adults and 5 mg for children.
Suitable for older adults. Significant adverse effects include ankle oedema and orthostatic hypotension. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 17.2.2025)
