How to Use

Dosage

Weekly injections for 7-15 weeks, then every 6-8 weeks for 3-5 years, with a maximum maintenance dose of 100,000 SQ-U.

Method

This medicine is given as an injection under the skin in your arm by a doctor or nurse.

Important

The maximum single dose given is 100,000 SQ-U (1 ml).

Important Warnings

  • On the day of your injection, avoid heavy exercise, saunas, hot baths, and alcohol.
  • Tell your doctor if you had any side effects after your last injection.
  • Do not get an injection if you have a fever, an infection, or allergic symptoms (like hay fever, asthma, or rash) in the last 3-4 days.
  • You must stay at the clinic for at least 30 minutes after each injection to check for any allergic reactions.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience severe allergic symptoms like hives, difficulty swallowing or breathing, voice changes, a drop in blood pressure, or a lump in your throat.
